Brian has been awarded the Douglas Professorship through the University of Nebraska College of Architecture.  This seed grant will fund research into his “perfor(M)ations” project.  The accepted proposal seeks to investigate the potential of the architectural screen as a mediator between spaces while simultaneously serving as a reflection of culture and technology. Investigations will utilize a critique of the historical lineage of the wall as a divider while employing contemporary digital thinking, technology, and techniques to seek new interpretations on a rather simple device.  More information to come later as the project develops.
