Ten years after designing this house while employed at RBA, we were asked by the home’s new owners to renovate the exterior. The empty nester couple wanted to add a warmer identity and create a more connected experience leading from the house to the lake. The full scope included a new entry canopy, cedar wood rainscreen, master deck, outdoor kitchen with hidden tv niche, cast-in-place concrete fireplace, and significant landscaping. Exterior modifications merge with the original house in a way which makes them indistinguishable by respecting the core design intent.
